About
Jamie was getting married ...and like every bride around the world, she wanted her wedding day to be the most spectacular of her life. Specifically, she wanted a special song for her Daddy Daughter Dance.
She turned to her father, Bob Crumley, the co-founder of Bodell Music. Together with friend, longtime songwriter and Bodell Music co-founder, Lane Caudell, "Daddy, Let's Dance" was born ...a song that touches the hearts of daughters and daddies every time it's heard.
Jamie wanted the song to be a surprise so she and her fellow co-writers didn't tell anyone they were working on the song.
It was tough keeping the secret when she and her dad made TWO trips to Nashville to record the initial demos for the song, but they explained the time away as "daddy daughter day" and just didn't tell where the day was being spent!
The song was debuted at Jamie's wedding and received such a great response that the decision was made to go back to Nashville for a master recording that would result in the public release of the song.
Brides, Bridal Consultants and Bridal Shows are all showing strong interest in using Daddy, Let's Dance! If you choose to use the song at your wedding, let us know and tell us about your experience.
